Meet the Founder
At the turn of the pandemic, founder and creative director Deanna Brkusanin was living in New York City when she made a defining shift—trading her red bottoms for barefoot walks along the shores of South Florida.
Drawn to the crystalline blue-green waters of the coast, she was transported back to sun-drenched summers on the Adriatic, where some of her earliest beauty rituals were shaped by the sea, the sun, and generations of Eastern European traditions and time-honored remedies.
What began as nostalgia evolved into a vision.
Deanna Immersed herself in the study of aesthetics and holistic wellness, becoming a licensed medical esthetician and deepening her understanding of the skin. She set out to reinterpret those rituals through a modern lens. Years of research, testing, and thoughtful refinement led to the creation of D22 SKIN- a collection of sun and skin essentials rooted in nature, heritage, and intentional living.
But D22 SKIN was never meant to be the end of the story.
The original vision has evolved into SOL ADRIA-a luxury coastal brand inspired by the places, cultures, and rituals that have shaped Deanna's life, from the Adriatic to the sun-soaked shores of South Florida and beyond.
